We are pleased to announce that LCRIG – in partnership with the RSTA – is hosting a Technical Training and Innovation Day on the 4th March 2019 in Blackpool. Council delegates from every North West council have been invited to attend and we are expecting participation from a good number of local authorities.
So far we have confirmed attendees from Bolton Council, Sefton Council, St Helens Council, Cheshire West & Chester Council, Cheshire East, Blackpool Council, Liverpool Council, Stockport Council, Warrington Council, Oldham Council, Manchester Council, Lancashire Council, Knowsley Council and Blackburn with Darwen Council.
Topics to be covered include surface dressing, specialist treatments, re-texturing and re-profiling, patch repair, asphalt preservation, crack sealing and joint repair, road recycling, ironwork installation and refurbishment, geosynthetics and steel meshes, slurry sealing, high friction surfacing, asset management technology (condition and treatment surveys) and many more.
There will be sessions led by representatives from the supply chain, along with guest speakers from the RSTA and the IHE. Council delegates will attain CPD accreditation from the IHE and the RSTA. There will be opportunities to network during lunch and refreshment breaks.
