LCRIG is pleased to announce the launch of Project Amber on behalf of Blackpool Council. Due to the success of the LCRIG Technical Training Day, held in partnership with the RSTA and the IHE earlier this year, Blackpool Council is now inviting suppliers and manufacturers of road surface treatment products and services to take part in Project Amber.
Blackpool Council were so impressed by the many surface treatment products and services and the innovative techniques for laying the materials that they are now inviting suppliers and manufacturers of road surface treatments to view the condition of twelve selected Wards within Blackpool to then put forward proposals for solutions.
Blackpool Council will be welcoming the specialist advice from the supply chain for the right treatments in the right place at the right time. The added benefit of Project Amber is that this project will also serve as the first LCRIG Trial Site which will be viewed and monitored by other Councils and the DfT.
If Project Amber is of interest to your organisation please contact Charlotte Bromley to register. Once registered, you will receive details of region locations enabling you to view and visit them prior to a Meet the Buyer Day on 13 June 2019; where you will be able to meet Blackpool Council’s Highways Management Team to ask questions. Please get in touch with any questions you have about the Meet the Buyer Day. Proposals, prices, traffic management plans and the programme of works for your selected schemes will need to be submitted by the 20th June 2019.
The Proposals and prices will be reviewed and selected with the aim of trying to provide as many opportunities to as many organisations as possible, providing the solutions are fit for purpose. Work will commence during August 2019.

We will look forward to hearing from you!
