Network Technician – role profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join Plymouth Highways.

Plymouth City Council, as the Highway Authority for Plymouth, has a statutory duty to inspect works being carried out on the public highway in line with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Highways Act 1980 and the code of practice.

The role will involve processing and approving applications to carry out works on the public highway as well as dealing with customer complaints & enquiries.The successful candidate must be customer focused, a naturally confident communicator, who is enthusiastic and thrives in providing an exceptional level of service at all times, preferably with previous experience within a highways environment.
