Reading Borough Council joins LCRIG
Reading Borough Council has become the latest local authority to join LCRIG as a council member.
Andrew Edwards, Assistant Director of Environmental & commercial Services, said: “Being part of LCRIG is a great benefit to Reading Borough Council. We are always seeking efficiencies and carbon reduction opportunities to tackle the climate emergency, and sharing best practice and innovation within the industry will help us do that whilst better managing our infrastructure. I have found LCRIG to be a supportive forum, and having access to the Project Amber Framework Agreement has enabled us to accelerate our specialist concrete road investment programme whilst obtaining competitive prices and a quicker start to the project than we might have managed otherwise.”
There is no charge for councils to join LCRIG, all we ask is for each council to support our commitment to facilitating communication, collaboration and innovation throughout the ‘highways community’.
