New members join LCRIG

Instarmac and Essency Consultancy have both joined the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) as new members this week.

Instarmac is a specialist in the manufacture and distribution of cement and bitumen-based products. They have become an associate member of LCRIG.

Essency provides infrastructure asset management, collaborative working and programme and project management services to the highways and transportation, rail, infrastructure and mining, and local government sectors, both in the UK and abroad.

Richard Moss, Brand Manager for Instarmac’s UItraCrete brand, said: “As the market leader in highways maintenance products for over 40 years we understand the importance of working with leading trade bodies and associations. It is this collaboration that helps us to stay at the pulse of trade innovations and standards driving innovation to ultimately improve road asset management.

“Since 1977 we have worked with clients on specification and product development to ensure demands are met. Our range of high specification repair and maintenance products comprising of PAS, HAPAS, HA104 and BT approved and compliant materials provide first time permanent installations, early trafficking, increased productivity and a vastly reduced whole life cost.

“We look forward to working with LCRIG as we continue to innovate and invest to solve today’s highway maintenance problems and ensure these solutions are proven, trusted and durable.”

Giving his reaction to becoming a consultant member of LCRIG, Essency Consultancy Director Scott Bloxsom said: “Having provided ongoing asset management support and operational services to many of the current LCRIG members in NW England since 2013, we’ve recognised the amazing work that the LCRIG community have been doing since they’ve formed, and we want to be part of that collaborative and innovative culture. We are further excited this week to announce that former Head of Highways & Transportation at Liverpool City Council, Danny Gordon is joining our team to lead our growth in the region. Representing Essency on LCRIG, Danny and I are looking forward to contributing to the group’s mission and becoming actively involved to help resolve and improve many of the industry’s challenges.
