Highways Voices podcast: Training is key
Listeners to this week's Highways Voices will hear about the work being done by the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) to help develop training and skills in the sector.

map16 have continued their strong relationship with Ringway Jacobs in the County of Essex. After previously working with them for the past 3 years, they have recently won a contract extension to take their work in the area to 2027.
map16 Asset Management provide a bespoke asset management system which allowed Essex Highways and Ringway Jacobs to monitor cleansing schedules across Essex Highways. Included in the contract extension is the opportunity to look at innovations which map16 bring to the market in order to increase operational efficiency and reduce carbon levels.
Will Young, Ringway Jacobs Innovation and Efficiency Manager said, “the move to a risk-based cleansing approach has so far saved Essex over £250k. Looking forward to seeing what we can do together for the next 5 years!”
