Local authority representatives are being given the opportunity to book fully funded places for LCRIG’s flagship Strictly Highways event which takes place in Blackpool early in October.
With more than 40 local authorities already signed up to attend, places are expected to fill up quickly with local authority delegates advised to book their fully funded places early to avoid disappointment. Fully funded places include attendance at the afternoon tea, networking event, conference, exhibition, the DfT Special Recognition Awards and also include accommodation for two nights, with travel to and from the hotels to Winter Gardens; catering and refreshments are also included. Council officers can find out more and book their places here.
Strictly Highways is LCRIG’s flagship annual conference, networking event and DfT Special Recognition Awards ceremony and attracts around 400 participants. The event takes place from 3-5 October 2023 and brings together the whole highways community, including councils, the Department for Transport (DfT), academia, industry associations, the supply chain and media and celebrates the good work that is taking place across the sector.
“The expected attendance for the event reflects the quality of the conference, exhibition and networking opportunities that Strictly Highways provides,” said LCRIG Chief Executive Paula Claytonsmith. ”With all table sponsorships and exhibition space fully booked in just a week, this shows that Strictly Highways is a must attend event for both the private and public sector. With an overarching theme focused on collaboration and how we can share solutions to meet local road demands, delegates can expect to hear speeches, discussion and presentations which reflect this theme. I would encourage public sector representatives to book now to secure their places.”
Delegates attending this year’s event will have the opportunity to learn about new innovations and technology, share experiences, receive updates from the Department for Transport (DfT) and network across the two days in the glittering setting of the Ballroom at the Winter Gardens.
Our conference programme over the two days is CPD certified and features a range of interactive panel debates and presentations focused around our four pillars – collaboration, innovation, net zero and skills and includes a variety of speakers from across public and private sector.
We are also proud to be hosting the prestigious Special Recognition Awards once again on behalf of Department for Transport (DfT). Established by the late Steve Berry OBE, the Department for Transport’s former head of highways maintenance, innovation and resilience, these awards recognise companies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to deliver change in the sector.
Kiely Bros are the Main Conference Partner for this year’s event and are one of a number of private sector supporters of Strictly Highways, whose financial contribution makes it possible to fully-fund places for local authority representatives.
Public sector places are fully funded and LCRIG are encouraging attendance from as many authorities as possible. For further details and to book your place, please register via the link below.
