LJMU becomes first LCRIG academia member
The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) has launched a new, Academia Member category, with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) the first to sign up.
There is no charge for Academia Members to join LCRIG, all we ask is for each Academia Member to support LCRIG’s commitment to facilitate communication, collaboration and innovation throughout the ‘highways community’.
Professor Hassan Al Nageim is a Professor of Structural Engineering at LJMU. He is the Academic Lead of Structural and Pavement Engineering R&D, including Design and Analysis of Steel and Concrete Structures, Bridges Engineering and Pavement Engineering.
Professor Al Nageim is a regular speaker at different national and international conferences and a consultant to several companies worldwide in the field of Structural and Pavement Engineering Design, Analysis and Evaluations. He has published more than 160 scientific journal and conference papers and two textbooks entitled: Structural Mechanics published by Pearson Education; Steel Structures: Practical Studies published by Taylor and Francis.
He said: “We are delighted to join LCRIG as their first academia member. Universities have a vital role to play in helping to educate the highway engineers of the future. We look forward to engaging with members and playing an active role in helping to promote the sector.”
Professor Al Nageim has extensive experience in managing and development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in; civil engineering, building maintenance management and building surveying at Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
