LCRIG welcomes two new members

The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) is delighted to welcome Bedford Borough Council as a Council Member and Winter Service Solutions Ltd as an Associate Member.


Bedford Borough Council joins over 100 other local authorities as a Council Member of LCRIG.

Winter Service Solutions Ltd manufacture, install and supply innovative products and services to Local Authorities and Highway Contractors across the UK.

Charles Robertson, Director at Winter Service Solutions said: “Winter Service Solutions is thrilled to be joining LCRIG. We have seen what a positive impact LCRIG has had to date on the Winter Maintenance sector, embracing innovation. We are delighted to be attending this year’s Innovation Festival, where products, solutions, new innovations and techniques will be displayed and demonstrated. The event provides local authorities with a chance to find out about new technology advances from key suppliers that will help to meet their current and future challenges. Winter Service Solutions will have a host of products and services on display to discuss with clients to support sustainable efficiency savings this winter.”



LCRIG provides Members with a unique platform to engage with councils, the DfT and the wider highways community.

By joining LCRIG you will connect with a community of like-minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.

LCRIG has four membership types:

Local highway authorities and ‘Teckal’ organisations.

Organisations providing products or services to the highways sector.

Government and professional bodies, associations, working/research groups.

Universities and academic research organisations.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), accredited to ISO44001, the international standard for collaboration, LCRIG’s purpose is to ‘give back to the community’ and we are not for profit.
