LCRIG welcomes two new Members

The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) is delighted to welcome John Wainwright & Co Ltd as an Associate Member and Coventry University as an Academia Member.

 

John Wainwright & Co Ltd are an end-to-end supplier of premium aggregate, asphalt and contracting services.

Lee Seviour, Contracting Director at John Wainwright & Co Ltd said: “John Wainwright & Co Ltd have been selling premium-quality basalt since 1891. We are an end-to-end supplier of aggregate and asphalt, with a Contracting Division servicing National Highways, Local Authorities and the construction industry. Becoming a member will assist Wainwright’s to facilitate new conversations from different areas, we can promote, support, share and unserstand any value and experiences from other members of LCRIG”.

 

 

Coventry University has joined LCRIG as an Academia Member.

Steve Austin, Head of the School of Energy, Construction and Environment, said: “We are delighted to be an academic member of LCRIG. This will help support our students interested in highways and transportation. The future of transportation lies in the hands of this generation. They will benefit enormously from LCRIG support for facilitating communication, collaboration and innovation throughout the “highways community”.

 

 

LCRIG provides Members with a unique platform to engage with councils, the DfT and the wider highways community.

By joining LCRIG you will connect with a community of like-minded councils, organisations and individuals, all of whom are driving change through innovation and technological advances across the local roads network.

Fully-funded places are available for public sector members, and discounted rates are available for private sector members at LCRIG events.

LCRIG has four membership types:

Local highway authorities and ‘Teckal’ organisations.

Organisations providing products or services to the highways sector.

Government and professional bodies, associations, working/research groups.

Universities and academic research organisations.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), accredited to ISO44001, the international standard for collaboration, LCRIG’s purpose is to ‘give back to the community’ and we are not for profit.
