The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) welcomed two new members this week.
Leading asphalt repair company, Thermal Road Repairs join LCRIG as an Associate Member.
Aiden Conway, Managing Director at Thermal Road Repairs, commented: “Thermal Road Repairs is delighted to be joining the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG). Traditional methods of asphalt repair have a large carbon footprint. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and working in partnership with councils to help reduce these emissions.
“As a company, Thermal Road Repairs’ purpose is to decarbonise the asphalt repair industry. Our patented technology offers a high output, low emission, zero waste, permanent solution for asphalt repairs. We utilise renewable energy within our technology, along with bio fuels. By sharing our knowledge and products, we aim to help our customers reduce carbon emissions. We invest significantly in R&D to create new technologies and to continuously improve our existing ones and we welcome the opportunity to share ideas and work collaboratively with other members.”
The Traffic Management Contractors Assocation (TMCA) join LCRIG as a Partner Member.
Greg Baldwin, Managing Director at the TMCA, said: “The TMCA are excited to be partnered with LCRIG. As two organisations who are committed to making improvements in our own areas of the highways industry, we feel that both parties can have a valuable contribution to the objectives of the other party, by allowing the TMCA to give guidance and comment on anything traffic management-related, and LCRIG being able to give guidance to the TMCA members on new innovations and developments that councils and other associated organisations require or feel would add value to their road networks. We can’t wait to see what comes from the new collaborative relationship.”
