Paula Claytonsmith, Chief Executive of the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG), will be speaking at the Highways UK event which is taking place at the Birmingham NEC in October.
Highways UK is a leading event in the highways industry’s annual calendar.
The event, which is taking place from 18-19 October, brings together the people responsible for planning, developing, managing, maintaining, and future-proofing the nation’s roads networks.
LCRIG are a ‘Local Authority Partner’ at this year’s event and will be joined by the Transport Technology Forum (TTF), LGTAG, UKRLG and ADEPT on a jointly-branded stand.
In the Local Authority Theatre at 1.55pm on Wednesday (18 October), Paula will be speaking as part of a panel session entitled ‘Connecting the unconnected: Ensuring equitable access to transport infrastructure’ and will be joined by Nick Goddard, Regional Director, Ringway; Alison Edwards, Director of Policy, Confederation of Passenger Transport; Tom Jarvis, Principal Social Researcher, Transport for the North; and Liz Leffman, Leader of the Council, Oxfordshire County Council.
Later on the same day, Paula will be joining another panel debate in the Keynote Theatre for the session ‘Roads as catalysts: Unleashing local transformative growth through strategic investment’. David Ogden,Vice Chair of UK National Committee, PIARC will chair the session which features Yogesh Patel, Process & Improvement Director, Ringway; Anthony Payne, Director: Regeneration, Plymouth City Council / ADEPT President 2023/24; Stephen Fidler, Co-Director – Local Transport, Department for Transport & UK Roads Leadership Group; Rupert Clubb, Lead Officer, Transport for the South East. This session will start at 4.20pm.
