The Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) is supporting Road Safety Week, a national week of events dedicated to providing road safety advice to all road users.
Road Safety Week is an annual event organised by Brake and supported by schools, the police, local government and businesses, to promote safer driving and road safety skills. The theme for this year is Road Safety Heroes, celebrating the heroic work of road safety professionals, and explaining how we can all play a part in making journeys safer for everyone.
This year’s event is taking place from 15-21 November 2021.
LCRIG President Will Britain said: “Maintaining roads and keeping them safe is the number one priority for our members. As a leading organisation which represents local councils, safety on the roads is of great importance to them, which is why LCRIG feels compelled to support Brake in its campaign to raise awareness of road safety to all users.
“It is also important that the work of professionals who help keep our roads safe is recognised. So the theme of ‘Road Safety Heroes’ is extremely apt with everyone working together to drive forward continued improvements in this area.”
