Innovation Festival: Outdoor demonstration timetable released
Visitors to this week’s LCRIG Innovation Festival will be able to see a variety of outdoor demonstrations – ranging from the repair and reinstatement of roads to the application of markings using an all-electric machine.
Companies including WJ, JCB, Meon, JCB, Highway Workforce/Roadmender and Multevo will be putting on demonstrations over the two days of the event – a full timetable of what’s happening can be seen below.
The final programme for the event has also been announced and features a wide range of speakers from across the highways community. In addition to this there will be sessions delivered by the Department for Transport (DfT) with public sector delegates participating in innovation scoring across both days of the event. They will be invited to judge entries across various categories including: Watercourse management; Highway Defects; Green Estate; Winter Maintenance; Transport Technology Fleet & Equipment; Health & Safety; Retroreflectivity.
The new event, which will take place from 6-7 July at Newark Showground, has been established to ‘make the case for innovation’ and will bring together local authorities, central government, the supply chain, associations and academia.
