Amey joins LCRIG
Amey, a leading infrastructure, highways and public services provider, has joined the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) as an associate member.
David Ogden, Business Director for Transport Infrastructure at Amey, said: “We are delighted to become an associate member of the Local Council Roads Innovation Group. We are passionate about our industry coming together, collaborating and sharing best practice with the ultimate aim of providing networks and services that are safe, reliable and efficient.
“We are looking forward to sharing knowledge and experience, working together to bring new innovations to the sector. This is a fantastic group of industry experts to learn from which I’m excited Amey is part of.
“Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be participating in forums, workshop and discussions, contributing to the safety and sustainability of our networks.”
LCRIG’s mission is to facilitate fresh thinking in innovation and collaboration and to act as a conduit between the ‘highways community’ consisting of politicians, councils, council groups, the supply chain (including utilities), associations, academia, key organisations and the media.
The Group also supports the Department for Transport, working in partnership with the ‘highways community’, to enable change through using innovative techniques not only to help achieve savings and efficiencies but to ensure a collaborative approach so that road users see improved highway services maintained to a standard that people expect and deserve.
