Lancashire County Council’s Road Safety Team are looking for an exceptional new team member to join a multi-disciplinary team working with partners and colleagues to implement Lancashire’s Towards Zero Road Safety Strategy, delivering speed management solutions and improvements, education, engineering and enforcement strategies.

We serve a population of 1.2 million living in cities, towns and rural villages with a diverse geography and demographic providing a wide variety of road safety challenges.

 

Job description

The Road Safety Technician will engage with residents, elected members, local community groups and member organisations of the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership including emergency services to facilitate delivery of the Towards Zero Lancashire Road Safety Strategy, and in particular the further development, implementation & monitoring of Lancashire’s Speed Management Policy. The post holder will also carry out research, data analysis and evaluation to inform future developments, and assist with the project management & implementation of new interventions. The post holder will be integral in identifying and assisting with the implementation of strategic continuous improvement activities within the team.
